African Certification

China has been the largest trading partner of Africa for 11 consecutive years. Facing the growing African market, as foreign traders, it is necessary for us to understand the certificates required for customs clearance in various African countries.

The first is Electronic Cargo Tracking Not or called Cargo Tracking Not. According to different countries, the name of the certificate will also be different, which can be divided into the following 7 types:

1. English name: Cargo Tracking Not; Abbreviation: CTN NO

2. English name: Bordereau de Suivl des Cargaisons; Abbreviation: BSC

3. English name: Electronic Cargo Tracking Not; Abbreviation: ECTN NO

4. French name: Bordereau Eletronique de Suivi des Cargaisons; Abbreviation: BESC

5. French name: Conseil National Des Chargeurs Angolais; Abbreviation: CNCA

6. French name: Bordereau d’Identification Electronique De Tracabilite Des Cargaisons; Abbreviation: BIETC/BIC

7. French name: Fiche Electronique des Renseignements a l’lmportation; Abbreviation: FERI

According to the regulations implemented successively by African countries since 2010, goods to various regions of Africa must obtain a CTN No. before shipment, and the Cargo Tracking Not (CTN no) must be indicated on the bill of lading and manifest. Otherwise, the shipping company will not issue the original bill of lading, the customer at the destination port cannot make customs clearance, and the resulting high fines.
