Shipping Batteries by Express UPS, DHL or FedEx

    In order to speed and efficiency, for express delivery of lithium batteries and related products, customers usually choose international express for cross-border transportation. We take the transport of the shipment containing lithium batteries very seriously and complies with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) regulations for carrying such items as a forwarder. We want to ensure that the customer as a shipper is aware of all the requirements in shipping battery products and help customer to overcome any challenges or obstacles may face. Shipping batteries must  comply with the international rules IATA-DGR 62 edition for air transportation of lithium batteries and other conditions:

    1. At present, there are no carriers in the China mainland to operate dangerous goods express business, so PI 965 of battery only and PI966 of battery packaged with the equipment are not accepted, but the PI 967 Section II of battery contained in the equipment is accepted. Almost all goods with batteries are basically transported by air or express via Hong Kong.

    2. The transportation of pure battery or cell PI 965 section II packaged separately has basically stopped. In 2016, several express companies of China mainland (including UPS, FedEx, DHL) had announced to stop accepting the transportation of lithium battery in this form.

    3. Small postal parcels less than 2Kg by UPU only accepts PI 967 section II of battery contained in the equipment.

    4. The gross weight of the package shall be less than 29kg.
